On behalf of the NJ/IABC Student Chapter board, we'd like to congratulate our chapter president, Alexis Piekarsky, on her honorable mention award for IABC's 2007 Student Chapter Leader of the Year, and her NJIABC award for Volunteer of the Year! Alexis was an integral partner in the creation of our chapter. Thank you, Alexis, for your dedication and hard work. This award is well deserved!

I am a Manager of Corporate Communication in the Strategic Organizational Communication group at Johnson & Johnson Corporate. I provide communication counsel and support to internal clients from Corporate functions with particular focus on developing and executing internal communication strategies that foster deeper levels of employee engagement. I joined Johnson & Johnson in 2006 as a Corporate Communication Graduate Fellow while pursuing my M.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communication at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Upon graduation, I served as an Account Supervisor at Ruder Finn for its Corporate Reputation Group before rejoining the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Communication department in April 2008. All told, I have over ten years of communication-related experience ranging from television production at MTV and on the Sopranos to editorial publication in non-profit education reform.
